About us
We are an environmental fundraising program, kicking off our first annual campaign this spring in Toronto, Belleville and Quinte West, Ontario. From Thursday, April 30 to Sunday, May 3 we are inviting the residents of these three cities to collect some of their spare change (in coin and swear jars, or under sofa cushions) and drop it off at one of the many convenient donation locations in their community. You can find your nearest location here.
It all comes down to the air we breathe – and how we want to improve it NOW! Your extra pennies, nickels, dimes, quarters, loonies and twoonies – whatever you can give – will provide valuable support to two important air quality initiatives. The first will directly help clean our air through tree planting; and the second will provide assistance to Ontario residents dealing with breathing problems caused by air pollution.
We're excited about our plan of action to improve the environment. As well, we are grateful for the support we’ve received from some of Canada’s most prominent health and environmental activists. When Belleville Mayor Neil Ellis announced the Change for the Environment™ campaign, praise quickly came from David Suzuki, George Habib, CEO of the Ontario Lung Association, and Chris Winters, Executive Director of the Conservation Council of Ontario.
Please join us in taking action by donating your spare change on either April 30, May 1, 2 or 3, 2009. Click here to find the donation location nearest you.
