Beginning today, you can put that loose change that weighs down your pocket to good use.
A campaign called Change for the Environment seeks to collect change from consumers in the First Annual Change for the Environment. This campaign will be taking place in 3 cities here in Ontario: Toronto, Belleville, and Quinte West. If you want to find out where you can donate your spare change, be sure to check out the Donation Locations on the Change for the Environment website.
If you’re wondering what the change collected will go towards, here is what the Change for the Environment website has to say about that:
It all comes down to the air we breathe – and how we want to improve it NOW! Your extra pennies, nickels, dimes, quarters, loonies and twoonies – whatever you can give – will provide valuable support to two important air quality initiatives. The first will directly help clean our air through tree planting; and the second will provide assistance to Ontario residents dealing with breathing problems caused by air pollution.
We’re excited about our plan of action to improve the environment. As well, we are grateful for the support we’ve received from some of Canada’s most prominent health and environmental activists.
